On Friday, July 2nd during the Belfast Gallery Walk, join us for an opening reception for AN EMIC REVIEW, a collection of oil paintings by emerging artist Eric Darling. The reception is open to the public, free of charge, and will last from 5-8PM.
AN EMIC REVIEW is a series of mostly black and white oil paintings that features “Skullys”, protohuman characters captured in everyday scenes.
Eric Darling is a self-taught artist native to New Hampshire. Darling went west to earn a BA in Anthropology. Interests such as archaeology work, travel and teaching in Asia, as well as an overall appreciation for the natural world are all evident in Darling’s work.
